I am here to honor and empower your journey toward personal growth and well-being.
March 21st, 2006 was a life changing day for me. I took my daughter to our first yoga class in celebration of her 15th birthday. After class, I felt this immediate sense of peace and inner calm. It is with tremendous pride that I admit I have not stopped my yoga practice since that transformative day.
Many years as a competitive gymnast and 30+ years of experience in education and education administration has lent itself to a great motivation and inspiration to continue on this journey to enlighten and help heal others through movement and mindfulness.
I received my 200 hour and 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher training certificates from the Yoga Center of Columbia in 2008 and 2013, respectively, with Kathy Donnelly. In July, 2017, I also received certification to teach Dr. Loren Fishman's Yoga For Osteoporosis Method. The breadth and depth of my education has been enhanced through courses in therapeutics, flow, and children's yoga under the guidance of yoga masters Aadil Palkhivala, Jenny Otto, Seane Corn, and Helen Garabian. I have also attended numerous trainings and workshops through Yoga Journal Conferences and the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. These inspiring teachings are threaded throughout all of my classes.
